I'm a very special little German Shepherd Dog... I'm Mom's guide dog!  I was trained at The Seeing Eye in Morristown NJ by my wonderful trainer Janice.
I was raised by a wonderful family with two kids, and my favorite girl was 12 years old.  She was so good to me and taught me so well!  She took me to school outings, church, stores like Target (one of my favorites!) and we went on camping trips a couple times too.  My girl taught me tricks
(I like to give my paw even if no one asks me to!) and I love her & my family so much. She taught me how to be well behaved in public and at home and not to be afraid of the big world.  Mom says she's very grateful to my first family and especially my girl for loving me and preparing me to become a guide dog.  Mom says my girl must be one special kid to have worked so hard and to have loved me soooo much and then had the courage to give me back to The Seeing Eye so they could formally train me for Mom.  I miss my girl and the family who loved me first, but they knew I was very special and meant to do special work guiding my Mom.  And wow do I love my Mom!

Now I have 2 sisters who are Dachshunds, and 3 brothers are Dachshunds too.  My other brother is a big goofy guy named Nolte, and he's a Golden Retriever.  He used to be Mom's guide dog but he got sick and couldn't work anymore.  Like Nolte, Janice specially trained me to work on Mom's right side.  Not too many guide dogs are "right hand" dogs, so I think I'm pretty darn special.

Hope you enjoy visiting my page!  Come back now & then, as I know Mom will be adding new pictures often!  She seems to like snappin' pictures a LOT!
