Hi! My name is Fawn Marie. I'm a red dapple standard Dachshund and I'm 10 years old. Mom adopted me a few years ago when my first family decided they couldn't keep my anymore. I'm so happy here with Mom and all my brothers and my sister Maizie. I love to chase squirrels and birds out of the yard and my favorite toy in the world is ANY kind of ball! In 2006 I had surgery on my back,because I became paralyzed with IVDD (Intervertebral Disk Disease). It was scary, but the doctor took very good care of me and made my back better. Mom took very good care of me at home too!
This is me with Nolte & Gunther at my surgeon's office. I had my stitches taken out this day.
This was the first time I was able to scratch myself with my back legs! Mom was very excited this day.

Last year I got very sick with some kind of infection. I had to get medicine and an IV and came home to get better. It was scary being at the vet hospital, but the doctor was kind and so were the girls that took care of me. Mom took good care of me & I got better pretty quick!
Here I am, 10 years old already! I had a great Birthday & got lots of goodies... my fav'rit was the tennis balls!
I shared my goodies with the whole gang!
